Tooth Decay

Tooth decay (also called dental caries) is one of the most common dental problems we see at Epsom Smiles. It develops when bacteria in your mouth produce acids that erode the protective enamel of your teeth — left untreated, decay progresses inward and can lead to pain, infection and tooth loss.

Early-stage decay is often reversible with prevention; deeper decay requires restoration. The earlier it’s caught, the simpler the treatment.
